01Mechanism
- 01
Launch
A creator launches a coin on a bonding curve. It graduates at 85 SOL. Launch fee: 0.02 SOL.
- 02
Pick an ore
The coin is paired with one proof-of-work coin: BTC, XMR, KAS, LTC, RVN or ZEC. This is its rig’s ore, for life.
- 03
Fees mine
0.60% of every trade is set aside to rent real hashrate for that coin’s rig.
- 04
Ore comes back
Mined ore is paid out each epoch to holders, used for buyback and burn, or split between the two. The creator sets this at launch.
At graduation, part of the migration locks into a permanent rig that keeps mining for the coin.
02Fees
Every trade pays 1.25%, split four ways:
| ROUTE | SHARE | WHAT IT DOES |
|---|---|---|
| Coin’s rig | 0.60% | Set aside to rent hashrate for the coin’s ore |
| Creator | 0.25% | Claimable by the launching wallet |
| Meteora curve protocol | 0.25% | Fixed 20% of the fee, kept by the curve program |
| $HASH buyback + burn | 0.15% | Goes to the $HASH burn fund |
| Total | 1.25% | Per buy or sell, taken in SOL |
Launching a coin costs 0.02 SOL plus any optional dev buy (up to 10 SOL).
03Reserves
Coins trade on Meteora’s audited Dynamic Bonding Curve program. Fees are taken separately from each trade, and the curve’s SOL reserve is only ever used to settle trades, so sells always settle. Rig money comes from fees alone.
04Ores and units
Hashrate is algorithm-specific, so each ore is always shown in its own unit. Block rewards below are approximate and change with halvings and fees.
| ORE | ALGORITHM | UNIT | BLOCK REWARD ≈ |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC Bitcoin | SHA-256 | PH/s | 3.125 BTC |
| XMR Monero | RandomX | MH/s | 0.60 XMR |
| KAS Kaspa | kHeavyHash | TH/s | 2.060 KAS |
| LTC Litecoin | Scrypt | GH/s | 6.250 LTC |
| RVN Ravencoin | KawPow | GH/s | 1,250 RVN |
| ZEC Zcash | Equihash | kSol/s | 1.563 ZEC |
05Mining modes
Steady ore every epoch
The rig mines in a pool and earns its share of every block. Ore is paid out each epoch to holders, buyback and burn, or a split.
Hunt a whole block
All of the coin’s hashrate hunts a full block. Most rounds find nothing. If a block is found, the entire reward goes to holders (BTC: 3.125 BTC plus fees). See the odds →
06Graduation
A coin graduates when its bonding curve holds 85 SOL. Its liquidity migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool, and that liquidity is permanently locked, split between the creator and the platform. Locked liquidity still earns pool trading fees. Graduated coins show “Graduated”.
07Network
Hashpad runs on Solana mainnet. Launches and trades use real SOL, signed by your wallet. Memecoins are highly risky and can go to zero.
08FAQ
Is this yield?
No. Rented hashrate roughly breaks even on average: the market prices hashrate close to what it mines. Hashpad makes the mining real and visible, and adds the chance of a full block in solo mode. It does not promise returns.
How are rigs funded?
Every trade sends 0.60% of its volume to the coin’s rig fund, which rents hashrate for the ore the coin was launched with. Each coin page shows its rig fund and the rig’s current hashrate live.
Can a rig drain the curve?
No. Rig money comes only from trading fees. The bonding curve is Meteora’s audited Dynamic Bonding Curve program, and its SOL reserve can only be used to settle trades, so sells always settle.
How often is ore paid?
Pool coins pay every epoch (about five minutes in this preview). Ore goes to holders, to buyback and burn, or a split, as the creator set at launch.
What happens in solo mode if no block is found?
Nothing is paid out. Most rounds find nothing. Solo is a lottery: all of the coin’s hashrate hunts a full block, and if one lands the entire reward goes to holders.
Can the creator change the split later?
No. Ore, mode and split are set at launch so holders know exactly what they are buying into.
Why does each ore use a different unit?
Hashrate is algorithm-specific. A PH/s of SHA-256 is not comparable to an MH/s of RandomX, so every ore is always shown in its own unit.
What is $HASH?
The protocol token. 0.15% of all volume on every coin goes to the $HASH burn fund, which buys back and burns it.
